Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 13, 2026
This policy explains how the Sync Solver iPhone app ("Sync Solver", "the app") handles your information. Sync Solver is published by SCEP LLC ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy, email [email protected].
The short version
- Sync Solver copies health and fitness data that you choose from your Google Health account into Apple Health on your iPhone.
- That data travels directly from Google to the app on your iPhone and is saved in Apple Health on the same iPhone. It is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
- We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and nobody at our company reads it.
- You can disconnect Google Health in the app at any time, which revokes the app's access, and you can delete the data the app wrote to Apple Health.
1. Health and fitness data from Google Health
What we access
When you connect Google Health, Google shows you a permission screen where you choose what to share. Sync Solver asks for read-only access in these groups, and only uses the data types listed:
| Google permission | Data Sync Solver reads | What it becomes in Apple Health |
|---|---|---|
| Activity and fitness | Steps, distance, floors, active energy, total calories, exercise sessions | Steps, Walking + Running Distance, Flights Climbed, Active Energy, Resting Energy, Workouts |
| Health metrics and measurements | Weight, body fat, height, daily resting heart rate | Weight, Body Fat Percentage, Body Mass Index, Lean Body Mass, Resting Heart Rate |
| Sleep | Sleep sessions and sleep stages | Sleep (in bed, asleep and sleep stages) |
| Nutrition | Water and food you log, as daily totals | Water, Dietary Energy |
We also call Google's identity endpoint to confirm that your Google Account has a Google Health profile before the app shows it as connected. The app doesn't store the account identifiers that endpoint returns.
You can grant some permissions and not others. Sync Solver then syncs only the data you allowed.
How we use it
The only thing Sync Solver does with this data is write it into Apple Health on your iPhone, for the data types you turned on, and show you when it last synced and how many new data points it added. Sync Solver doesn't use the data for anything else.
Where it goes and how long it is kept
- The app downloads the data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) directly from Google's servers to your iPhone. It is not sent to any server we run, and it is not shared with any third party.
- The app keeps the data in memory only while it writes it to Apple Health. After that, the copy lives in Apple Health, which you control, and is protected by Apple's encryption on your iPhone.
- The app keeps a small sync log on your iPhone: the date of each sync and how many data points it added for each data type. It does not keep your health values.
- Your Google sign-in tokens are stored encrypted in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone. They are never sent to us. They are deleted when you tap Disconnect or delete the app.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google Health API will adhere to the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Sync Solver's use of information received from Google APIs also adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not:
- transfer or sell your data to third parties such as advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers;
- use your data for advertising of any kind, or to determine credit-worthiness or for lending;
- allow any person to read your data; or
- use your data for any purpose other than the Apple Health sync you see in the app.
Early-access requests
While Google reviews Sync Solver, Google only lets accounts on our test list connect. If you ask for early access, we use the email address you send only to add that Google Account to Google's test list for Sync Solver and to reply to you. We delete it from our mailbox and from the test list once Google's review is complete or when you ask us to.
2. Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, Sync Solver writes the data types listed above to Apple Health. It also reads back the samples it wrote itself, so that it can update or remove them instead of creating duplicates. Health data from Apple Health is never sent off your iPhone by Sync Solver, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with third parties. You can change these permissions at any time in the Health app: tap your profile picture, then Apps > Sync Solver.
3. The older Fitbit sign-in
Until Google turns it off on October 30, 2026, people who connected before the switch to Google Health may still be connected through the older Fitbit Web API. The same rules apply: data goes directly from that service to your iPhone and into Apple Health, and the access token is stored only on your iPhone. When you switch to Google Health, the app revokes the old Fitbit access right away so the two connections never run at the same time.
4. Purchases and app analytics
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. To measure subscriptions and app installs, the app sends our in-house analytics service (ACAnalytics, hosted at analytics2.appchair.com) your purchase and subscription status, transaction identifiers, app version, device model, iOS version, an app-specific device identifier (Apple's identifier for vendor) and Apple Search Ads attribution information. This service never receives any health data, Google account information or sign-in tokens. We keep this information for as long as we need it to manage subscriptions and measure our marketing, and you can ask us to delete it.
Sync Solver does not show ads and does not use your device's advertising identifier.
5. Disconnecting and deleting your data
- Stop syncing and revoke access: in Sync Solver, tap Google Health at the top left of the main screen, then tap Disconnect. The app revokes its Google access token, stops syncing and asks whether to keep or delete the data it already wrote to Apple Health.
- Delete synced data: in Sync Solver, open Details and tap Reset All Data, or in the Health app tap your profile picture, then Apps > Sync Solver > Delete All Data from “Sync Solver”.
- Revoke from Google: you can also remove Sync Solver's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- Delete the app: deleting Sync Solver removes its sync log and sign-in tokens from your iPhone.
- Ask us: email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you or to delete it. We do not hold any of your health data, so there is none for us to delete, but we will delete any purchase analytics or support emails linked to you.
6. Security
All connections the app makes use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted in the iOS Keychain. Because your health data never leaves your iPhone through Sync Solver, there is no copy of it on our systems to protect or lose.
7. Children
Sync Solver is not directed to children under 13, and Google Health doesn't support children's accounts through its API. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, or to object to how it is used. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use data from Google Health, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
